Flu Vaccine Clinics 2019
No cost! No appointment needed!
On campus flu vaccines are offered to local Texas A&M System employees, their eligible dependents (must be 6 months or older), and retirees who are covered by the A&M Care Plan (Blue Cross Blue Shield of Texas). Outside insurance will not be accepted at the on-site flu vaccine clinics.
You MUST bring the Required Forms (found below).
Vaccines available this year are quadrivalent, covering two influenza A viruses and two influenza B strains. Additionally, we will offer pediatric doses and a limited number of high-dose and egg-free vaccines.
UPDATE: Due to the high demand of flu vaccines at our clinics this year, we have a limited supply of vaccines remaining. Therefore, we are cancelling the clinic scheduled for Thursday, October 24 and shortening the hours of the clinic on Friday, October 25 to 12pm - 3 pm or until vaccine runs out. We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your understanding.
- Thursday, October 24 - CANCELLED
- Friday, October 25 (new time: 12:00pm – 3:00pm)
You MUST completed these required forms in advance and bring them with you (A & B).
A. Registration Form – one per covered family/household
B. Consent Form – one per person receiving a flu vaccine
- Bring your picture ID card and your insurance ID card.
- Wear appropriate shirt for arm injection.
- Read the HIPAA Privacy Notice.
Off-campus flu vaccines: Remember, employees who are A&M Care plan policy holders and their covered dependents are able to receive the flu vaccine through their primary care doctors without any out-of-pocket expenses or co-pays. We recommend contacting your primary care doctor to find out if they have still flu vaccines available. An alternative option is to use a local pharmacy that is willing to file the insurance claim with Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Texas (not Express Scripts).
This initiative is a partnership among the Division of Human Resources and Organizational Effectiveness, Texas A&M Health Family Care (formerly Texas A&M Physicians), the College of Medicine, College of Nursing, College of Pharmacy, School of Public Health and Health Science Center’s Office of Interprofessional Education & Research.
