Fitness Schedule

WELLNESS WORKS! has partnered with Texas A&M Rec Sports and Piranha Fitness Studios to offer OVER 30 FREE fitness classes for faculty and staff.  Remember, you can use your  Wellness Release Time, 30 minutes, 3 times a week, for wellness activities!

NOTE: Fitness Session Cancellations for Thanksgiving Holiday

WELLNESS WORKS! on-campus fitness sessions will run on a modified schedule on Tuesday, November 26 and will all be cancelled from Wednesday, November 27 through Friday, November 29. All classes will resume on Monday, December 2.

Piranha Fitness Sessions will run on a modified schedule. The studio will close at 1pm on Wednesday, November 27 and will resume a normal schedule Monday, December 2. Visit the Piranha Fitness Studio Schedule for details.

The following Fitness Sessions WILL Occur on Tuesday, November 26:

  • Yoga in the MSC Stark Gallery from 11:45am-12:30pm
  • Zumba in the GSC Breakroom from 4:45pm-5:30pm
  • Boot Camp in PEAP 116 from 4:45pm-5:30pm
  • Cycle at Piranha Fitness from 4:45pm-5:50pm
  • HIIT at Piranha Fitness from 5:30pm-6:15pm


Texas A&M Rec Center

Through a partnership with WELLNESS WORKS!, Texas A&M Rec Sports offers FREE fitness classes for faculty and staff as part of their Group RecXercise program! These RecXercise classes are held at the Student Recreation Center (Rec), MAP. No need to register, just come! WELLNESS WORKS! participants are required to sign in at the Rec Center Member Services desk before taking a class.

Participation Procedures at Rec Sports
WELLNESS WORKS! participants are required to show their employee I.D. and sign in at the Rec Center Member Services desk before participating in our classes. Upon signing in, eligible participants will obtain a white Rec Sports wristband that must be worn while utilizing the Rec Center. This wristband is essential for facilities staff to recognize eligible participants. After participation, the white Rec sports wristband should be returned to Rec Center Member Services desk.

WELLNESS WORKS! participants are asked to pass through the turnstiles no earlier than 20 minutes prior to the start of class and no later than 5 minutes after the class begins. We hope that these measures will minimize disruptions caused by late arrivals and will enhance the experience for the instructor and participants.

Piranha Fitness Studio

Piranha Fitness Studios offers select FREE, private and/or blended fitness classes for faculty and staff as part of their Group Classes program. In order to gain access to the Piranha Fitness Studio reservation system, WELLNESS WORKS! participants will need to create an account at bit.do/piranha AND send an email to info@piranhafitnessstudio.com (please allow 24-48 hours for account approval). Once the participants’ eligibility to participate has been confirmed (Texas A&M faculty or staff only), participants will receive a confirmation email with instructions on how to reserve a spot in the private fitness sessions.

    • Cancellations – As a courtesy to other clients and our instructors, you must cancel a class before the scheduled class time in order to avoid a no show penalty. If you haven’t cancelled, you will forfeit one credit and will be charged a $10 no-show fee. A late cancel (within 24 hours) will remove the credit used to book the class in a count base series. You can also call our studio and we will be happy to assist you.
    • Wait list – If a class is full, join the wait list! We will add riders on a first come first served basis as spots become available. You will be notified that you are added via email. The same policies described above will apply. If you are on our wait list and cannot attend the class, please remove yourself to avoid a penalty.
    • Late policy – Once the instructor begins class your spot is eligible for waitlist or walk-in clients to have. We will only secure your spot in class up to the start of your class.

On Campus Locations (PEAP, GSC, MSC)

No need to register, just come! Texas A&M faculty and staff employees have FREE access to the WELLNESS WORKS! on-campus fitness sessions offered at the Physical Education Activity Program (PEAP), General Services Complex (GSC), and the Memorial Student Center (MSC). WELLNESS WORKS! participants are asked to sign-in with the class instructor before class begins.
